News Capturing the UK’s biggest contractors’ projects

28 September 2016 Daniel Curtis

In their recently released annual report, Construction News has revealed the UK’s top 100 contractors, based on their latest turnover.

And we are proud to have worked with nine of the top 10 contractors and their subsidiaries from the 2016 table, helping to capture crucial construction work across the UK.

Although only showing financial figures based on UK revenue, many of the top ranking contractors featured in the Construction News league table operate globally, with an instantly recognisable, multinational brand to match.

With their work encompassing construction, infrastructure development, and support services, Balfour Beatty remains the largest contractor in the UK – ranking at number one.

The construction giant has turned over almost £7 billion in the last year, picking up many landmark projects in the process. And we have previously worked with them to provide time-lapse and site monitoring.

Completed in 2015, the 260,000 sq ft St James’s Market development was part of a scheme to improve one of the busiest and most prestigious locations in the heart of London, providing both retail and commercial facilities.

Through both completed and on-going work, we have vast experience in providing a range of visual services suited for the capture of developments in various construction settings.

The multi-industry approach of Kier, coming in at third in the ‘CN100 2016’ and for whom we have worked extensively with, has seen us capture developments in numerous different contexts and taken us across the country.

From developments in academic sectors for university and school campuses in Cambridge and north west London, to utility installations in Bolton, our services are ideal for any contractors working in multiple disciplines.

Other major players to reach the top 10 include Laing O’Rourke and Galliford Try, who have both utilised our services on a number of their construction sites across the country. One such development for the former was the new Scottish Power headquarters in Glasgow.

As well as working directly for the biggest companies, we have captured many projects for their subsidiaries, and continue to develop those relationships.

Ranking sixth in the top 100 of UK contractors, Morgan Sindall Group is made up of eight renowned companies, including housing specialists Lovell.

Commissioned to cover a monumental £51 million redevelopment at Beacon Barracks in Stafford, we worked closely with Lovell to ensure each phase of this important project was documented.

But as well as working with some of the UK’s largest contractors, we pride ourselves on providing the highest standard of quality and expertise for clients big and small, and always look forward to discussing our services and any queries you may have.
