News Entertainment and leisure time-lapses

Arguably one of the most versatile photography capture methods, time-lapse is now as popular as ever. From short-term sequences using rapid-interval capture to long-term projects that require remote monitoring and tracking, this 150-year-old technique is continuing to be utilised more and more.

With years of experience working closely with clients in a range of different industrial and commercial sectors, we are able to capture in any number of situations. From construction companies wanting a comprehensive narrative of projects to retail and marketing companies looking for stunning edits for all manner of commercial and marketing purposes, we always find a solution.

Another important sector is leisure and entertainment, where we have worked extensively and provided services to some of the world’s leading companies.

Normally ideal for capturing heavy-duty construction projects, our time-lapse photography and video services are also fit for smaller-scale constructions – like those made from Lego!

We have a longstanding association with Merlin Entertainments, capturing a large variety of their Lego-based construction projects, like this one at the Legoland building workshop in Windsor.

Taking a total of three months to recreate Japan’s tallest skyscraper – Abeno Harukas – we incorporated rapid interval capture to highlight the final construction before its transportation across the world to its new home at the Legoland Discovery Centre in Osaka, Japan.

Part of the second biggest attraction group of its kind in the world, Legoland continues to use our time-lapse video solutions to further their global appeal.

Previous projects where Legoland have commissioned our professional services and time-lapse camera systems include the build of a scale-model Fenway Park for Legoland Discovery Center Boston, the installation of a Star Wars Miniland at the Trafford Centre, Manchester, as well as the construction of a 16ft scale-model CN Tower at Legoland Windsor.

Our work for Merlin Entertainments is not exclusively for internal projects and our time-lapse services have also been used extensively in external environments across the UK.

Time-Lapse Systems have worked on numerous projects for one of the UK’s largest and most popular theme parks and leisure resorts, Alton Towers.

These projects include capturing the construction of a number of their roller coasters, as well as time-lapsing a special concert by American singer, songwriter, P!nk.

Our camera system documented the stage construction, de-rigging and the concert itself in between, which took place at the resort back in 2010.

From external to the most prestigious of indoor venues, one of our most popular time-lapse videos to date was commissioned by the Royal Albert Hall.

This stunning behind-the-scenes capture documents a ‘year in the life’ of one of the UK’s most iconic indoor arts venues.

Providing a year’s worth of uninterrupted capture, this video has now achieved over 85,000 views on YouTube and the number continues to grow every day!

Host to 390 events on the main stage and 1.7 million visitors, our time-lapse video features events from the Royal Variety Performance, Masters Tennis, as well as The Proms.

Our truly unique event management services continue to help our clients across the UK as we continue to help businesses to document their special events in the highest quality possible, with the best service and at the best price.
