Weatherite – Waitrose plant room
We go green for this week’s Friday Feature!
A project for leaders in energy efficient cooling solutions, Weatherite, we were asked to document the construction of one of their special bio-fuel plant rooms.
Built and installed for the British supermarket chain, Waitrose, we used a combination of long and short-term time-lapse and video solutions to capture each stage of this project.
Our finished video edit shows the initial internal build of the plant room at West Bromwich-based Weatherite, right through to the complicated manoeuvres and transportation needed for its installation in Chipping Sodbury.
Although only a short-term in duration – taking place over the course of one month in 2013 – the benefits of this project are indefinite, contributing to the store’s enhanced local biodiversity.
Built on the site of an old limestone quarry, the Chipping Sodbury store has been recognised through BREEAM ‘excellent’ ratings for its low-carbon plan and other green credentials.
