The company:

Hideaway Studios Group is a leading provider of time-lapse and site monitoring solutions, as well as other specialist media. We provide services predominantly around the UK.

We work with film, video and photography nationwide, on a range of exciting projects and for numerous high-profile clients. These include theme parks such as Alton Towers and Legoland, concert venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, and the automotive & aerospace industry, including Jaguar Land Rover, Aston Martin and Airbus. We also work with some of the UK’s largest construction companies, amongst many other genres of work.

The role:

As the company continues to expand we are looking for a flexible and enthusiastic web developer to join our team. You will be working closely with people across the company to build internal and client facing tools and applications, tightly integrating with our connected time-lapse camera systems. You’ll be developing our modern, cloud-based technology stack with opportunities to work on front end UX/UI and into the development of our leading camera system hardware and embedded software.

The candidate must have:

  • experience & knowledge using HTML, CSS/ Sass and JavaScript
  • experience of front end frameworks such as Vue, Angular or React
  • experience with Node.js using express or similar
  • an eye for detail

It would be desirable for the candidate to have:

  • experience & knowledge of responsive grid framework (such as Bootstrap, Flexbox or CSS Grid)
  • experience & knowledge of using PHP, C#, Java or Python
  • experience building backend API services
  • experience using WordPress or similar
  • experience using Git or similar
  • experience of CI/CI workflows
  • experience of SEO
  • experience with UX and design
  • experience with design and design software (such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator or Scratch)
