CAPTURING time-lapse projects from the Isle of Lewis right down to the Isle of White, we are the leading time-lapse specialist in the UK.
We continue to install our camera systems in key locations nationally (as well as overseas), including multiple projects in major projects in cities such as London, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Newcastle, Bristol and others, as well as many in Scotland and Wales; implementing a high quality and reliable service on projects of all sizes across the UK.
Time-lapse construction in the city
Among our UK time-lapse work, we have managed capture on some of the biggest construction developments within the City of London.
This includes long-term time-lapse for the large-scale St James (Berkeley Group) regeneration projects at Nine Elms, including Riverlight, Merano Residences and The Dumont, amongst others.
For Riverlight, we utilised multiple fixing positions, including a view from across the River Thames, providing over half a decade of capture – from initial demolition work right through to completion of five new residential towers.
For this time-lapse construction project, we also created a 360° aerial tour showing the Nine Elms regeneration in its entirety.
Other high-profile demolition-construction projects we have worked on in London include 190 Strand, Abell & Cleland and St James’s Market, to name just a few.
We continue to be at the forefront of ongoing developments to the capital’s iconic skyline, like our ongoing capture for Mace’s 70 St Mary Axe (aka the ‘Can of Ham’).
As well as in the south of England, our work has been commissioned for varied projects tracking the growth of other key regional economic areas such as the ‘Northern Powerhouse‘.
We are currently documenting construction of luxury office builds such as 125 Deansgate, Spinningfields, and One New Bailey, Salford, subsequent to providing carefully monitored capture of their respective demolition phases.
Additionally, we have installed camera systems to time-lapse construction in other key locations across Greater Manchester.
Last year we provided internal and external time-lapse for one of The Alchemist’s newest venues overlooking Manchester’s Ship Canal. Otherwise known as the ‘Golden Spaceship’, our time-lapse video shows this iconic structure taking shape in the heart of MediaCityUK.
The finished edit was shared widely on social media channels, helping to affirm The Alchemist’s popularity among other cultural landmarks – such as BBC Manchester, ITV Studios and the Lowry Centre – within this burgeoning area of Salford.
Other time-lapse UK work
We also provide industry-leading time-lapse photography and site monitoring services for clients from a wide range of other sectors, such as education, sport, leisure, entertainment and events.
Our UK time-lapse portfolio extends to jobs in infrastructural developments, including some of the country’s biggest transport projects.
We provided long-term remote site monitoring for Crossrail – Europe’s biggest transport project – under challenging circumstances. To achieve the ideal perspective of excavation works at Moorgate Station, one of our highly-skilled engineers had to install the camera system from mid-air, from the confines of a crane-suspended cage.
Currently, we are time-lapsing ongoing developments for HS2 across many of their sites in London and Birmingham.
Time-lapse for leisure, entertainment and the arts
In just the past 12 months we finished multi-camera-system-capture in Hull, documenting various developments in line with the city’s year as UK City of Culture 2017.
This included time-lapsing construction of Bonus Arena, Hull, a brand new 3,500 capacity event space delivered by BAM and Hull City Council.
Away from entertainment arenas but adding to our extensive work at UK theme parks, we time-lapsed Alton Towers’ most recent thrill ride – Wicker Man. The UK’s first wooden roller coaster in over 20 years, our time-lapse video of its construction heightened anticipation for its launch earlier this year.
As well as being picked up by various national and local news outlets, it even featured on a special Channel 4 TV documentary.
Our time-lapse solutions have also helped to mark other ‘firsts’ elsewhere in the country, including:
- Major preparation works for the inaugural multi-sport European Championships 2018, hosted in Glasgow, Scotland
- The biggest movement of historic vessels by the National Waterways Museum
- The first-ever two-tier grandstand at St Andrews Links, the historic ‘Home of Golf’
With the new year just around the corner, we are excited to very soon be commencing more projects in cities & locations both new & old to us, across the UK and beyond.
