News Our time-lapse specialisms: spotlight on internal projects

2 October 2019 Kate

COMPLEX racking installations, branch-specific retail fit-outs, logistical warehouse operations and boat builds. These are just some of the varied internal works that our camera systems have been utilised to capture.

We have time-lapsed an array of interior works, including retail & office fit-outs, warehouse developments for large corporations and household names, as well as specific branch improvements for pharmaceutical chains and multinational businesses.

The bespoke nature of our time-lapse solutions gives us the freedom and capability to work in all kinds of indoor environments, while delivering industry-leading results for every project.

Our camera systems have been installed in locations across the UK to carry out short-term and long-term time-lapse for major commercial names, with just some of these recognisable brands including:

  • Aston Martin
  • Adidas
  • Muller
  • Marks & Spencer
  • Royal Albert Hall
  • H&M

… to name just a few.

Whether a project requires multiple camera systems to capture the transformation of large manufacturing spaces, or smaller-scale solutions for office or retail fit-outs, we liaise closely with all our clients to implement innovated solutions for each & every unique space.

Time-lapsing complex warehouse settings

Amongst the hundreds of projects we have worked on, capturing warehouse fit-outs is one of our principle specialisms.

Our capabilities have allowed us to produce precise narratives of works from various projects delivered by world-renowned clients, such as XPO Logistics, Louis Vuitton and Mecalux.

Internal shot of a Milton Keynes warehouse for Mecalux.

Above: we used rapid capture time-lapse for the manufacturer Mecalux, capturing the installation of their racking systems at a warehouse in Milton Keynes.

Royal Mail Group, Selco, Well Pharmaceuticals and Surface Finishing Engineering (SFE) are just some of the other companies to benefit from our internal solutions.

This is because time-lapse is ideal for tracking methodical and consistent processes, such as the installation of warehouse racking and machinery. By establishing and installing in a position providing an optimal view, our camera systems capture images regularly so as to record each incremental phase activity.

We can then affect capture remotely, adjusting interval rates, exposure compensation and other critical settings, to deliver time-lapse videos which truly reflect the complexities of works undertaken in such a focused environment.

We have also provided mixed-media methods – combing many different methods alongside long-term time-lapse – to capture the work of other logistical specialists, such as Southampton Freight Services. Utilising rapid capture time-lapse and video, we produced this complete narrative of a nine-week interior fit-out of their Hampshire-based headquarters.

We returned to Southampton to provide behind-the-scenes capture of their everyday warehouse and office operations. This (below) dynamic and comprehensive narrative was produced using stabilised walkthroughs and motion-controlled rigs, as well as in situ time-lapse and rapid capture.

Our camera operators harnessed their years of experience, knowledge and skill to match the complexity of the work being undertaken by staff on site. This included utilising both long-term and in situ capture from a range of different angles, maximising the value delivered from each working space.

The versatility of the approach we bring to all projects means that we are able to deliver the best possible rendering of internal developments wherever they are taking place – without compromising on detail.
