As modular construction gains popularity, we worked with Modulek to time-lapse one of their latest projects, at Solihull Sixth Form college.
With the project taking place on a ‘live’ school site, our highly skilled engineers worked closely with Modulek to ensure a safe, secure position for our camera system, whilst also attaining the best angle for optimum capture.
From February to May 2020, we captured the whole project, from the groundworks right through to completion. Our experienced monitoring team ensured that the camera settings were adjusted for different stages of the build and changing weather conditions remotely throughout.
Our Ultra High Definition camera system provided the best possible footage of the construction, capturing the in-depth details and superior finishes now involved in a modular build.
Using the latest offsite construction methods, the bespoke two-storey modular building itself was lifted into position in just four days. For this short-term period, we not only increased the capture rate, but carefully monitored progress and micro-managed capture in-line with all key movements taking place.
With the site monitoring capabilities we provide, the Modulek team themselves were also able to remotely view the site through our live viewing portal when required.
Once the build was complete, the client requested a time-lapse video to showcase the project, highlighting their fast and efficient method of delivering a new school building. Our skilled in-house team of editors seamlessly edited all the images into a short video to capture the whole process.
The sequence successfully shows how quickly and smoothly the project ran, with our above Ultra HD footage highlighting the quality finishes now involved in a modular build.
Time-Lapse Systems are pleased to have worked with Modulek whilst they delivered this school build for Solihull Sixth Form College in such challenging times, and we look forward to working with them again on further projects.
