News Time-Lapse Footage Produced for ITV Racing
On a spring day in 2024, York Races commenced with the Al Basti Equiworld Dante and the Yorkshire Cup as the main events. The Al Basti Equiworld Dante, a Group 2 flat race for three-year-old colts and geldings, began with the sound of thundering hooves as the horses sprinted around the track. The Yorkshire Cup, a Group 2 race for horses aged four and above, followed suit, showcasing top-class stayers from various regions.
We were asked to produce our time-lapse footage for ITV as part of their coverage of the 2024 York Races in May. We have been documenting important development work on the south side of the Knavesmire stand which will create new bar and food stands, as-well as new betting and seating areas to improve the visitor experience.
The ITV coverage of the races showed the competitive spirit among the horses, as they vied for position and surged towards the finish line. The audience stands provided a backdrop of race day fashion and spectators’ reactions. From elegant attire to sharp suits, the diverse crowd added to the atmosphere. We were thrilled that our time-lapse photography was used in the coverage of these events showing important development work at York Racecourse. This is the third biggest racecourse in Britain and attracts over 350,000 racegoers every year, it has even won the coveted ‘Racecourse of the Year’ three times.
We hope that all of the attendees had a fabulous time at the races and we were incredibly pleased to see our photography used in press coverage of the event.
