13 March 2025 Holly Eckersley

Time-Lapse Systems has had the privilege of collaborating extensively with Alton Towers Resort, capturing the evolution of some of its most iconic attractions and events. Through meticulous time-lapse photography and filming, we’ve documented the creation and transformation of rides, as well as special events, providing a dynamic visual history of the park’s developments. We have worked on many, many attractions at the towers including documenting the build of rides at David Walliams Land, Santa Sleepover events, waterpark events amongst many others.

Time-Lapsing Nemesis Reborn

In 1994, Alton Towers introduced Nemesis, Europe’s first inverted rollercoaster, captivating thrill-seekers with its intense design. After years of operation, the ride underwent a significant transformation, emerging as Nemesis Reborn. Our team was entrusted with documenting this revitalisation. Over 18 months, we captured the meticulous process of deconstructing the original structure and the subsequent construction of the revamped ride. The updated attraction now features advanced audio-visual elements and redesigned aesthetics, enhancing the overall experience while preserving the essence of the original ride.
