These are just some of the famous landmarks we have captured using time-lapse – but not in their usual guise. As the toy manufacturer celebrates another milestone, we look at projects we have worked on that heavily involve the iconic Lego brick.
In this instalment of “Time-Lapse Trends” we cover the fun and adaptable toy that is Lego – something that our own camera systems have captured on many occasions.
As a leading time-lapse provider, we are well accustomed to providing capture of this particular “Time-Lapse Trend”. Construction is the focus of our video examples this week.
During October, November and December of 2011 we had a time-lapse camera system capturing the construction of a remarkable Lego model of the Tokyo Sky Tree. The model was pieced together by the model builders at the main model building studio at Legoland in Windsor…
All is going well as we continue our time-lapse project for Legoland at their main model building workshop in Windsor. The model builders have been working quickly as we take a frame every few minutes to ensure a great time-lapse sequence that will capture every detail of the build. We have made the images available for our clients at Legoland to view through our server and via our new smartphone enabled viewer.
We finish off the project at Legoland Windsor to time-lapse the construction of two major Lego models…. First we time-lapsed the building of a Lego model of the Blackpool Tower, then we switched the camera’s attention to the building of the building of a lego model of the Midland Hotel. The time-lapse system has now been de-rigged and two edits have now been compiled for Legoland to promote their new attraction in Manchester.
