News We’re Back in Stornoway

We recently completed a near 2 year HD time-lapse and site monitoring project in Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis, in the Outer Hebrides.

The project was commissioned as a joint venture between Farrans, H&J Martin and Patton on behalf of Sgoiltean Ura LLP. We covered the building of one of the flagship Western Isles Schools’ projects.

We remotely monitored and controlled the camera system over the 2 year period, and despite some extremes in weather conditions, the system performed faultlessly throughout the period, delivering around-the-clock HD images of this stunning site to our clients and their stakeholders. A time-lapse sequence has now been produced of the entire build, which you can watch below:

Following the end of the project, we were immediately commissioned to begin another project on the Island of Lewis. Another camera system was installed close the first in order to capture further development on the Hebridean Island.

We have camera systems operating all over the UK and beyond, but the Isle of Lewis is one of our favourite locations, and we’re glad to extend our presence and involvement in this beautiful part of the world.
