NHS and healthcare.
Since 2007, Time-Lapse Systems have provided custom ultra-high definition time-lapse and site monitoring solutions a plethora of NHS, healthcare & science build projects.
We’ve been trusted to work across a wide spectrum of projects for the NHS and associated industries.
The range of work we cover is immense, and our experienced team are able to provide bespoke custom solutions for a variety of demanding projects.
Our NHS and healthcare time-lapse and site monitoring work has taken us right across the UK. We’ve installed time-lapse systems in London, Cambridge, the Thames Valley, the Midlands and up to Liverpool and Northumbria.
We’ve captured for major foundation hospital trusts such as Addenbrookes at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust, as well as for numerous regional and local NHS teams including the Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, Derby Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Whittington Health NHS Trust. Kier, Lendlease and other highly respected construction companies use our services to document the NHS and healthcare projects they are delivering.
Our NHS and healthcare construction work has involved us in a wide spectrum of diverse hospital-related projects. We have extensive experience covering everything from large-scale new build projects such as Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital, through to builds on ‘live’ hospital sites such as the Worcestershire Royal Hospital Radiotherapy Centre. We are currently capturing a new health campus adjacent to the Alder Hey Children’s Hospital as well as a new education centre and mental health hospital at the Whittington Hospital, central London. We have provided sustained high-quality time-lapse capture for prestigious builds, such as Project Capella – a multi-million-pound, state of the art laboratory facility for Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and the University of Cambridge. As well as foundation hospital trusts we also work with regional NHS trusts and local authorities.
As hospitals and healthcare centres develop and evolve, we have also produced high-quality time-lapse photography of demolition work. As hospitals often only have a limited footprint, redevelopment construction is normally preceded by an older redundant buildings’ demolition. Many construction projects have been preceded by capture of demolition in locations such as the disused Waterlow Building at the Whittington Hospital, central London. As another example, we have worked to capture demolition projects such as the clearance of the Derby Royal Infirmary Nurses Home. Demolition of hospital buildings has the added complexity of being on a ‘live’ site, so site monitoring and documentation of this work can help with any safety issues.
Our healthcare construction client base is wide and varied, from large developers such as Kier delivering high spec, long term projects, to modular construction companies speedily creating additional healthcare space, to specialist hospital architects renovating and extending existing NHS properties. Our time-lapse capture has the enhanced benefit of site-monitoring, so construction can be remotely managed and monitored by contractors, project managers, developers, and architects through a secure viewing portal. This also means that sensitive ‘live’ sites with staff and patients can be remotely micromanaged, ensuring that hospital and healthcare build projects run smoothly and safely.
We not only cover large hospital works but also healthcare centre projects too. We have time-lapsed a broad range of medical centre works, including Longton South Primary Care Centre. We are currently working alongside North Staffordshire Care and Commissioning Group and City of Stoke-on-Trent Council to provide capture for this brand-new traditional build care centre development. The bespoke nature of our time-lapse solutions gives us the capability to work on all types of builds, in all kinds of environments, while delivering micro-managed industry-leading results for every project.
We have several NHS clients using time-lapse in a variety of ways, from capturing hospital builds to external developments. As hospitals are incorporating more inviting external spaces into their sites, we have captured the construction of numerous gardens and outdoor spaces. These include major external works at Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust in Liverpool where a new healthcare campus will be framed by a regenerated Springfield Park, providing an enhanced safe and secure green space. By installing our camera systems with optimal view, images will regularly record each incremental phase of activity, allowing a clear progress report to document the transformation of this parkland and the creation of the unique ‘Alder Hey in the Park’. We have also captured, produced, and edited a video of the redeveloped outpatients’ garden for Mick George Limited and Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust (ACT) at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Such time-lapse captures and videos can be utilised by NHS England, foundation trusts and charitable trusts to promote the work undertaken – distributing it across social media platforms and the media to keep the public informed of developments.
We also specialise in time-lapse for NHS subsidiary projects. With numerous clients in this sector, we are currently providing high-quality time-lapse capture of Theale Tri-Service Community Station. We are documenting the extensive work that Knights Brown is undertaking to create a station that will be operated jointly by South Central Ambulance Service, the Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service and Thames Valley Police.
Using time-lapse photography is an effective method to assist with the communication and publicity surrounding such important health and public sector projects.
Working for NHS Property Services and numerous NHS trusts including Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust and Addenbrookes at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust means that Time-Lapse Systems is well placed to provide the best possible time-lapse services for healthcare construction projects.
