Time-lapse at MediaCityUK for Glenbrook Property

WE have just completed our first year of capture of Glenbrook’s new £70 million development at MediaCityUK.

Situated in the heart of the wider 200-acre site in Greater Manchester, the 231,000 sq ft Sheppard Robson-designed two-block residential development is set for completion in 2022, having commenced last summer.

Our familiarity with the site, having previously capture the nearby Alchemist venue, helped us to identified a prime location from which to cover the full range of works on the 280-apartment residential scheme, which is currently only known as “Plot D3”.

We have been documenting work at this high-profile development undertaken by Bowmer + Kirkland since its start in September 2020, including the extensive groundworks and more recently construction of multiple storeys as the two buildings begin to rise up.

We will also capture as the 14 and 17-storey residential towers will be connected by a single-storey glazed walkway and as 3,000 sq ft of commercial floor space for retail or restaurant use is developed.

As construction continues at this build-for-sale scheme by Glenbrook, on behalf of Latimer and in partnership with MediaCityUK, our site monitoring service has allowed parties involved to remotely view site progress. The key partners and project team have all been able to instantly access our secure viewing portal iRis 4.0 throughout the build, so those working remotely and from different locations, all have the same up-to-date site information.

The high-quality services and capture we provide have already been utilised by Glenbrook previously, on their award-winning 232 apartment development Trilogy, in Castlefield.

Funded by Moorfield Group, and created in collaboration with AEW Architects and Graham Construction, you can watch our time-lapse video from this project below:

We’ve also documented and produced videos for other projects as MediaCityUK has expanded, including the construction of the canal-side venue The Alchemist in Salford Quays.

The time-lapse stills images and video edits for these projects have been used extensively by the teams involved, and have also been used for promotional purposes and for social media interaction – on Twitter, Facebook, and other channels – helping to create public interest in developments.

We, at Time-Lapse Systems, are delighted to be capturing again for Glenbrook and at MediaCityUK and we look forward to continuing our relationships with both.
