News Another ‘time-lapse view’ of nature
The Internet is full of videos that pay homage to the subtle simplicity of the natural world.
And last Friday’s blog proved so popular we’re taking a look at some more environment-based videos.
These are a little more unconventional, but still have the irresistible charm of nature time-lapses.
This canyon video, captured in difficult conditions Down Under, is the perfect example of how professional time-lapse videos can leave you in awe. Deep beneath the surface of the Earth lies hidden wonders – and this edit brings those things to life.

Take a scanner and a colony of ants… and you will have no idea where this is going! François Vautier combined the two – and the results are breathtaking. Watch as – with one scan every week – the scanner turns from a piece of technology into a natural environment. It is a pretty surreal use of this photography technique.

And to finish – a look at the start of a plant’s life cycle. These time-lapses are a dime a dozen, but there is still something pleasing about their simplicity. And this is a great example of it, combined with stop motion.
