News Working in the UK and Europe: spotlight on our time-lapse Scotland projects
FROM capturing at the first-ever European Championships to of construction some of the UK’s biggest companies’ headquarters, we have helped to document some of Scotland’s most iconic construction projects of recent years.
As one of Europe’s leading managed time-lapse providers, we regularly help to capture projects across Scotland – from Dumfries & Galloway to as far north as Stornoway.
Our time-lapse & video solutions have been utilised widely to document significant regional developments in important sectors, including education, construction, sport and entertainment.
Marking sporting history
We are proud to have undertaken projects in some of Scotland’s most recognisable locations and cities, including Glasgow – host of the inaugural multi-sport European Championships 2018.
We captured the transformation of an indoor tennis court into a synchronised swimming venue using our remote, micro-managed time-lapse capabilities.
We delivered a fully post-produced edit to our clients in time for the commencement of the Championships, which was specially requested by the BBC and shared widely on social media.
What does day 6 of @Glasgow2018 look like? Well, it’s the last time the pool at Scotstoun Sports Campus will be used for Synchronised Swimming. Our relationship with GL events and other prestigious sporting locations in Scotland goes back many years, including for the 2015 Open Championship at St Andrews.
Utilising our robust, bespoke off-grid solution, we overcame the area’s notoriously unpredictable weather to capture history in the making – construction of the first ever two-tier grandstand to be built at the renowned Old Course – ‘The Home of Golf’.
Other major builds
In even more extreme weather, on the Isle of Lewis, Outer Hebrides, we captured a flagship Western Isles Schools’ project in Stornoway, a joint venture by Farrans, H&J and Patton.
This timeless edit was not only our first ever Scotland-based project, but remains one of the most northernly construction sites we have worked on.
As well as returning to Stornoway since then, we have provided time-lapse construction and site monitoring for many other flagship works within Scotland, including:
- time-lapsing the £80m construction of Scottish Power’s headquarters in Glasgow by one of the UK’s biggest contractors, Laing O’Rourke,
- capturing internal fit-out and office upgrade works for Hutchison 3G (Three), also in Glasgow,
- as well as Edinburgh West’s ODEON Luxe cinema.
Indeed, our work has helped to mark the significance of growth and development in various regions across Scotland.
We always look forward to and are currently working towards further opportunities to capture on projects within the brackets of time-lapse Scotland and time-lapse UK.
