News Genr8 Developments: Stoke on Trent Time-lapse
We are pleased to announce the installation of our Ultra High Definition Time-Lapse and Site Monitoring System to document the development of the Central Business District (CBD) in Stoke-on-Trent. This initiative, undertaken in collaboration with Genr8 Developments and Stoke-on-Trent City Council, aims to revitalise the city’s economic landscape.
Strategic Installation at Hanley Library
To capture the project’s progression comprehensively, we have strategically positioned our camera system atop the City Central Library in Hanley. Utilising specialised brackets, the equipment is securely mounted to provide a panoramic view of the expansive development site. This vantage point ensures that every phase of the construction is recorded in exceptional detail, offering stakeholders real-time insights into the project’s advancement.
Genr8 Developments and the Vision for Stoke-on-Trent
Genr8 Developments, a specialist in urban regeneration, has been commissioned by Stoke-on-Trent City Council to spearhead the creation of the new Central Business District. The primary objective is to diversify the city’s economic base, enhancing its resilience against future economic fluctuations. By attracting a mix of businesses and fostering a dynamic commercial environment, the CBD is poised to become a cornerstone of Stoke-on-Trent’s economic revitalisation.
Phase One: Modern Office Spaces and Public Realms
The initial phase of the CBD project encompasses the construction of a 100,000 square foot office building, which will serve as the new headquarters for the City Council. Designed by HWL Architects, this five-story structure will feature a ‘mixed mode’ system, combining modern amenities with energy-efficient technologies. A distinctive aspect of the building is its glazed curtain walling, inspired by renowned local ceramics designer Clarice Cliff. This design element pays homage to the city’s rich artistic heritage while contributing to a vibrant new business quarter.
In addition to the office building, the first phase includes the development of extensive high-quality public realms. These spaces are designed to enhance the urban experience, providing areas for social interaction, leisure, and community events. The integration of green spaces, pedestrian pathways, and public art installations aims to create an inviting atmosphere for both residents and visitors.
Our Role in Documenting the Transformation
Our Ultra High Definition Time-Lapse and Site Monitoring System is engineered to deliver unparalleled image quality, ensuring that every detail of the construction process is meticulously captured. The system offers continuous monitoring capabilities, allowing project stakeholders to access real-time visuals and track progress remotely. This transparency not only facilitates effective project management but also serves as a valuable tool for community engagement, keeping the public informed about the ongoing developments.
A Commitment to Excellence
We are honoured to be entrusted with documenting this landmark city centre regeneration project. Our collaboration with Genr8 Developments and Stoke-on-Trent City Council reflects a shared commitment to excellence and innovation. By providing comprehensive visual documentation, we aim to support the project’s objectives and contribute to the broader narrative of Stoke-on-Trent’s resurgence.
Looking Ahead
As the Central Business District project progresses, we look forward to capturing each milestone, from groundbreaking to the completion of state-of-the-art facilities. This visual chronicle will not only serve as a record of construction but also as a testament to the city’s evolution and its aspirations for the future.
The development of the Central Business District in Stoke-on-Trent signifies a pivotal moment in the city’s history. Through strategic collaboration and innovative documentation, we are proud to play a role in this transformative journey, capturing the essence of progress in stunning Ultra High Definition.
