News Friday Feature – Abeno Harukas
Our Friday Feature series takes a closer look at some of the videos that you can view on our YouTube and Vimeo channels.
Legoland – Abeno Harukas model build
This week we revisit our work on construction projects of a different size – and scale!
Usually utilised in order to capture heavy-duty construction activity, our time-lapse photography and video services are also fit for smaller-scale buildings, like those made from Lego bricks.
Taking three months in total to build, this time-lapse video documents the construction of a model Abeno Harukas – Japan’s tallest skyscraper – ready for its journey to Osaka, before its opening in the spring of 2015.
The sequence incorporates long-term and rapid interval capture to highlight important phases of the construction.
We have a long association with Merlin Entertainments, this being only one example from a large variety of their Lego-based construction projects that we have been commissioned to capture.
Our other projects include:
- The build of a scale-model Fenway Park for the Legoland Discovery Center in Boston.
- An installation of a Star Wars Miniland at Manchester’s Trafford Centre.
- The construction of a 16ft scale-model CN Tower at Legoland Windsor.
