News Major UK building society shares time-lapse video
Over 12 months capturing new headquarter build.
CONSTRUCTION of a brand new development in the heart of the West Midlands is being remotely recorded by one of our bespoke camera systems.
The West Brom – the UK’s 7th largest building society – shared a periodic time-lapse video that we produced onto their website and YouTube channel, which shows their new headquarters part-way through construction. They used the edit as part of an update on the build’s progress.
We installed the camera to their site back in November 2013, which has provided a constant stream of up-to-date images of the build.
But the six-month progress edit proved an invaluable, visual guide to savers, showing how well erection of the striking new building is going. The video shows 500-tonnes of steel forming the 70,000 sq ft, five-storey structure, which will eventually house around 500 building society staff.
We are honoured to have been involved in Providence Place, a major development project to revolutionise West Bromwich town centre. The West Brom, which has almost 500,000 members, is moving their headquarters to the site in spring 2015.
By the time the project is completed we will have captured 25,000 images for the regional lender. And, as with all our clients, we will provide them with the full record of the build, as well as a finished time-lapse video of the whole construction project.
