News Time-Lapse Systems in Lincolnshire
We are pleased to be supporting WRG (Waste Recycling Group Ltd) with a high-definition time-lapse and site monitoring system for their new waste management infrastructure project on the outskirts of Lincoln. WRG, part of the international FCC group, is leading the design, construction, and operation of this sustainable facility for the County of Lincolnshire.
Our time-lapse system was installed on 12th October 2011 and is actively capturing the development of the 3.1-hectare site. The system is programmed to take high-resolution images every few minutes, covering 12 hours a day, six days a week. This schedule ensures that every stage of the project is documented in detail, providing a valuable resource for project teams and stakeholders.
Supporting Construction and Project Management
Time-lapse photography plays an important role in construction and infrastructure projects. By providing a continuous visual record, our system helps WRG and its partners track progress, review key milestones, and assess site activity efficiently. The footage serves multiple purposes, including project management, stakeholder reporting, and public engagement.
With access to our online viewer, WRG can review the latest images at any time, ensuring that project teams stay informed about developments on site. This system also helps identify any logistical challenges and supports decision-making by offering a clear, real-time perspective of construction activities.
Long-Term Capture and Monitoring
The project is set to continue for 20 months, and our system will be in place for the entire duration. The consistent capture of high-quality images ensures that WRG will have a comprehensive visual record from start to finish. This footage can be used not only for internal monitoring but also for documentation, marketing, and reporting purposes.
Time-lapse technology is particularly effective for large-scale infrastructure projects like this, where multiple structures and processes need to be coordinated. The system provides a reliable and non-intrusive method of monitoring work on-site without disrupting operations.
Why Time-Lapse Matters for Waste Management Projects
Waste management and energy recovery facilities involve complex construction processes, with various stages requiring careful coordination. From groundwork and foundation work to the installation of advanced processing equipment, each phase contributes to the overall success of the facility.
By using time-lapse, WRG and its partners can ensure that construction stays on schedule and that any potential delays or challenges are identified early. This visual record can also be used for future reference, helping teams improve processes for similar projects in the future.

Delivering Reliable Monitoring Solutions
Our experience in providing time-lapse and site monitoring solutions ensures that WRG receives a system tailored to their needs. The installation at Lincoln is designed to withstand all weather conditions while consistently delivering high-definition images. The ability to remotely access and review footage adds further value to the project, allowing teams to monitor progress without needing to be physically present on-site.
This partnership with WRG highlights the increasing role of time-lapse and site monitoring in large infrastructure and environmental projects. As construction progresses, we will continue capturing the development of the facility, providing an essential visual record of this important project.
