News Time-lapsing for NHS Property Services’ social prescribing projects

4 June 2021 Kate

As NHS Property Services (NHSPS) invests in transforming social prescribing sites across England, Time-Lapse Systems is privileged to be visually documenting the progress across a growing number of the locations.

The works we are capturing are being developed to support the NHS to deliver on the ambitions of the Long Term Plan, which has pledged to refer at least 900,000 people to social prescribing services by 2023/24.

Time-Lapse Systems is proud to currently be covering three of these diverse holistic projects.

This includes the transformation of the outdoor area at Offerton Learning Disability Resource Centre in Stockport. We are capturing how it is being turned into a multi-use garden, including growing beds, sensory garden, outdoor gym and outdoor meeting space.

Some of our time-lapse footage from this project has already been used on a Sky report to demonstrate this social prescribing work taking place.

We will continue to provide capture from Offerton right through to the flower beds and planting coming into bloom, to showcase the investment and full transformation of the garden into a beautiful, holistic retreat for the Learning Disability and Autism Resource Centre and local community.

Again, focussing on an outdoor area, we are also covering landscaping works at the Neptune Health Park, Tipton, Birmingham. This area is being transformed into a more inviting space, with raised planters and greenery within the urban environment.

On a very different project, we are documenting a two-month fit-out at Lindley House, Oldham, to create a ‘Baby Bank’. This development is being made to support the ongoing provision of baby products and food for those most in need.

To help share progress on all these sites, we are also providing our custom-built viewing platform to provide a live, remote view of works as they take place. This capability allows the NHSPS and those they work alongside – NHS stakeholders, construction companies and local organisations – to be fully aware of developments on projects without having to visit site.

Throughout the reporting, we are also able to provide NHSPS with specific videos to highlight certain project elements, such as that featured in the Sky News report and edits for case studies. This is in addition to the final time-lapse video we will be creating at the end of each project, to showcase all involved works.

We are so pleased to be involved in these projects by NHS Property Services and we look forward to beginning capture on further sites and for more healthcare projects.
