As the preparations for Christmas start to get underway, and the first festive treats hit the shelves, we reflect on seasonal favourite drinks which are perfect for any yuletide celebration or to simply get cosy with. Here we take a look at the creation of Christmas tipples and how time-lapse videos show how easy they are to re-create.

Christmas drinks

Here at Time-Lapse Systems we consider Christmas truly the ‘most wonderful time of the year’, not just because of our annual Christmas party, but all of the fabulous opportunities to catch up with friends and family. To celebrate we often enjoy a Christmas-sy tipple or two to get in the festive mood! Cocktails infused with mulled aromatic spices, oranges, and cloves are always a firm favourite for us. Christmas is marked as a time of indulgence, prioritising relaxing days with loved ones and festive treats. It is the celebration of these simple pleasures which encapsulates all that is truly special about Christmas.

A Christmas cocktail does not need to be overly complex. It just needs to draw on traditional warming flavours of this particular time of year. ‘Shaker & Spoon’ utilise timelapse to show each incremental phase of activity in the preparation of a cocktail. Glenmorangie Time-Lapse

We have worked with Glenmorangie to capture the construction of a new distillery in the picturesque town of Tain. Located in one of Scotland’s oldest royal burgh’s, Glenmorangie has been making whiskey here since 1843. Our time-lapse cameras perfectly captured this new chapter in this world-renowned brand’s development. It is no wonder Glenmorangie is one of the world’s leading go-to drams!

Greenall’s Gin Time-Lapse

We have also captured the construction of a new distillery for Greenall’s gin. This special London dry gin has been popular since 1761 and is made using a particular blend of the finest aromatics to give it its distinctive flavour. Our time-lapse video helped document the brand’s new phase of growth. We are delighted to have worked with such a historic brand!

Eden Mill Distillery

We are currently capturing the construction of a new distillery for Eden Mill’s gin. Set to produce Scottish Craft Gin, this stunning distillery will sit at the mouth of the river Eden, overlooking the iconic, historic town of St Andrews.

Christmas Beer

If Christmas cocktails are not for you, you can always keep it simple with an ice-cold beer. We filmed the demolition work and construction of a new building in Burton upon Trent for Molson Coors.
