News Project for Laing O’Rourke and Imtech Process
View of the vast site taken from the camera and displayed on our on-line viewer.
We are delighted to be working for Tamasis, a joint venture between Laing O’Rourke and Imtech Process. The time-lapse and site monitoring project will span a two year period to capture the major upgrade of a treatment works at Crossness on the south bank of the Thames in Abbey Wood. The facility is one of Europe’s largest and serves over 2 million Londoners.
The site was first developed in 1865 by Sir Joseph Bazzealgette, and is now being brought up-to-date to increase the efficiency of the water and sewage system and to significantly reduce the site’s carbon footprint. Part of the redevelopment comprises the building of a wind turbine that will power up to 1,000 homes.
The high definition camera will capture all the development and allow personnel to view and monitor the vast site from the camera’s elevated position. Thanks go to Ollie Larkin, a time-lapse specialist himself who installed this one for us.
We look forward to serving Laing O’Rourke and Imtech Process over the next two years and producing a time-lapse sequence for them at the project’s end.
